Metallica at Cremerie de Paris
Metallica opened a World Tour pop-up store at Cremerie de Paris N°1 — probably the world's most iconic pop-up store location, in the heart of the 1st arrondissement. Discover the full story and pictures on the official Cremerie de Paris page.

The M72 World Tour Pop Up Store
The Metallica Pop Up Store ran from 16 to 20 May 2023 (11am–7pm), alongside the band's two concerts at the Stade de France on 17 and 19 May 2023 — part of the M72 World Tour 2023. It stood on Place Marguerite de Navarre, facing the metro exit and two Cremerie de Paris restaurants, Gladines (N°3) and Maison Rouge (N°7). The store was organised by Probity, a Sony Music merchandise company (Marian Stredwick, Chris Barber). The pop-up was designed by Daniel Terreneuve and Stéphane Sergent (agence Esprit Scène), with management by Daniel Terreneuve, Stéphane Sergent, Collin Persyn, Léon Steger, Justine Régis, Adam Olympie, Raphaël Picard (Rafamiel) and Indra Debarbat.

The band Metallica
Metallica was formed in Los Angeles in 1981 by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, with Cliff Burton (1962–1986) on bass; Kirk Hammett joined in 1983 and Robert Trujillo in 2003. One of the most successful heavy-metal bands in history, they launched the M72 World Tour in 2023, playing two different nights in each city.

A music pop-up rooted in Sony history
The Cremerie de Paris has a long connection with Sony: from 1988 to 1999 it was a Sony hotspot, having started as a small Sony telephone boutique. The Metallica Pop Up Store — run by Probity, part of Sony Music — added a new chapter to that story.
The Metallica Pop Up was so spectacular, it turned into a permanent “online”
Tourist Attraction
When a Cremerie de Paris Pop Up Store is well done, something unique comes with it. The Expo becomes part of the history of a landmark that is a crossroads between past and future — the same place that saw every Bourbon King of France walk through its courtyard at VB (Hôtel de Villeroy-Bourbon) was, at the very dawn of the Internet, an avant-garde Internet café. The Metallica Pop Up Store continues to be admired from the homepage of VB.com — the only "two-letter dot-com" in the world connected to a Pop Up Store / Museum location. Thus Metallica becomes an online tourist attraction on a prestigious "Visit" tourism website. Internet Users and Paris Lovers will keep discovering the Metallica event through time.
