Game of Thrones at Cremerie de Paris
Game of Thrones took over Cremerie de Paris N°6, on place Marguerite de Navarre — probably the world's most iconic pop-up location — to celebrate the Blu-ray release of the final season. Discover the full story and pictures on the official Cremerie de Paris page.

A series that marked a generation
Game of Thrones (Le Trône de Fer), adapted from George R.R. Martin's novels and broadcast by HBO, ran for 8 seasons and 73 episodes and became one of the most-watched television series in the world.

The Pop Up Store & Launch of Series 8
To mark the Season 8 Blu-ray release, the pop-up opened at Cremerie de Paris N°6 on 2 December 2019, designed by Francois Linh Hoang and Julien Bouaziz — one of the world's most famous organisers of video-game events, from the agency Brainwash. Dragons of light, a towering White Walker, the Iron Throne and a real dragon egg transformed the historic ironwork building; fire-breathers lit up place Marguerite de Navarre, and Scott Stevenson paid homage to George R.R. Martin on the Iron Throne. Costumed characters and fire performers took part in the event, creating a unique atmosphere.

Opening Night
An opening cocktail took place at the Pop Up Store, Cremerie de Paris N°6. The reception was extended into the adjacent Brasserie Cremerie de Paris N°8 (Célestines), where a Game of Thrones Buffet was prepared for the guests of the launch party. A giant dragon's egg was standing outside.

Pop Up Store
The next day, fans could come to the Pop Up Store, discovering a large Westeros map / table display (dimensions 4.10 m × 2.20 m) and artwork by illustrator Robert Ball. Screenings and promotional content connected with the Season 8 release introduced the “Game of Thrones: The Last Watch / Les Retrouvailles” content.

The Game of Thrones Pop Up was so spectacular, it turned into a permanent “online”
Tourist Attraction
When a Cremerie de Paris Pop Up Store is well done, something unique comes with it. The Expo becomes part of the history of a landmark that is a crossroads between past and future — the same place that saw every Bourbon King of France walk through its courtyard at VB (Hôtel de Villeroy-Bourbon) was, at the very dawn of the Internet, an avant-garde Internet café. The Game of Thrones Pop Up Store continues to be admired from the homepage of VB.com — the only "two-letter dot-com" in the world connected to a Pop Up Store / Museum location. Thus Game of Thrones becomes an online tourist attraction on a prestigious "Visit" tourism website. Internet Users and Paris Lovers will keep discovering the Game of Thrones event through time.
